Ceramic Arts
As a multimedia artist I naturally gravitate towards texture. I am a very tactile person and I believe that touch is the most important sense. It brings me closer to the world around me, connecting my 'self' with other people, places, and things. I adore working with clay because it is a direct reflection of the impressions human beings leave on any material. It is magical to hand mold a slab of clay into a comprehensive art piece, every finger impression shapes the future of the piece and changes the material forever.

I have been creating wheel thrown and hand sculpted ceramics since 2009.  I find that the principles of constructing a sturdy vessel can be applicable to other facets of life and work as well. Wheel and hand construction has influenced the way I treat other materials including thread, fabric, paint and digital art.
